FUNdamentals of Raw Living Foods

In this introductory workshop, you'll learn:
~ The importance of germinating nuts, seeds and grains.
~ Enzymatic nutrition for healing & rejuvenation; good reasons to limit cooking. Proper food combining for ease of digestion.
~ Helpful suggestions to make food prep easier and faster throughout the work week.
~ Kitchen gardening: sprouting, growing tender young greens, and wheat grass.
~ Fermenting foods: Rejuvelac for vital friendly flora.
~ Culturing: nut & seed cheeses, including cream cheese, yogurt, parmesan, and more.
~ Dehydration in place of cooking to retain valuable enzymes and delicate nutrients.
~ Food preparation techniques: using knives and other equipment to create texture.
~ Wrap 'n' roll methods for making great sandwich substitutes.
~ Breakfasts, lunches, and dinners, from appetizers to desserts.

This workshop is a prerequisite to Essentials of Raw Culinary Arts and Associate Chef and Instructor training with LLCAI.

During this introductory workshop, you will attend dozens of superb culinary presentations showing how to create a wide variety of delicious, easy-to-prepare recipes! Here is just a sampling of what you will see and taste: appetizers, fruit smoothies, soups, sauces, salad dressings, salads, simple entrees, pates, wraps and rolls, nut milks and luscious non-dairy cheese, crackers and other dehydrated goodies, amazing desserts, sprouting and kitchen gardening. Plus,essential equipment and supplies used in a raw food kitchen, and basic knife skills. FUNdamentals opens the door to a whole new world of fabulous raw organic cuisine...it's the first step toward a new culinary awakening!

All students must take this course or the two-day FUNdamentals class before attending the Essentials of Raw Culinary Arts and Chef/Instructor training with Living Light.
